My long time friend Allan Berry has an amazing
website filled with equally amazing stuff.
This illustration was done by my good friend Al Bliss. Since I met him he's always been someone I admire, both as an illustrator and as an individual.
He took a polaroid of me one day when we had a beer, just back before Christmas of last year and e-mailed me back with this beautiful illustration.
"Actually, I do believe it's because if I ask you to give me a pose that isn't smiling, you know enough of what I'm looking for to give me a workable look. Most folks just sort of stare at me dumbfounded, which is something I can draw but I'm starting from a deficit from which I generally don't recover."
